Imelda May beats six-horse field in workouts win at Cambridge Raceway

Three-year-old filly Imelda May came home at the head of a field of six to win at the Cambridge workouts for Kyle Marshall Racing.

Driven by Fergus Schumacher, the maiden beat Watch and Learn by a neck.

The two leaders were followed home by two of Imedla May’s KMR stablemates in Miss You Bromac (driver: Kyle Marshall) and Tenessee Honey (driver: Dave Marshall).

Trainer/driver Kyle Marshall sat the four-year-old in third spot on the rail and she came home fastest of the field to run second behind Thee Old Bomb.

KMR’s two starters came 2nd and 3rd in the fourth workout of the day.

The Kyle Marshall-driven Gotta Be Downtown was headed on the post while Itsthefinalcountdown finished with pace, driven by KMR’s racing operations manager Fergus Schumacher.
