Imelda May overcomes wide draw to beat field of nine at workouts

posted in: News

Unraced three-year-old Imelda May (pictured) has won a 2200m mobile pace at Cambridge Raceway’s workouts.

Driven by trainer Kyle Marshall, the filly went straight to the lead from a wide draw and then dropped in to take a trail.

As the nine-strong field started to bunch at the final turn, Marshall pulled Imelda May off the rail and she cruised to the lead with 100 metres to go and won by a length.
