Perfectly-judged drive gets Tennessee Honey up for her first win

posted in: News

Three-year-old filly Tennessee Honey has won her first race after powering away from a large field at Cambridge Raceway.

Trainer/driver Kyle Marshall patiently sat her one out and one back before accelerating around the final bend and then drawing away with 80 metres to go.

It was the filly’s first time to the races and her win was greeted with jubilation by her syndicate of owners.

The win provided connections with a $4,400 winning stake. At the tote, she paid $5.80 for the win and $3.00 for the place.
