Promising 2-year-olds to make race debuts in $20,000 Auckland event

posted in: News

Promising two-year-olds Hugo Maguire and Son of Mac will make their first appearances in a competitive race when they line up in hotly-contested $20,000 event at Alexandra Park on Saturday.

The pair were both bought at last year’s standardbred sales and syndicated by Kyle Marshall Racing.

They have schooled well and ran decent times in a trial at Pukekohe on January 22 when Hugo Maguire beat his stablemate by a length.

The two colts will start in the night’s largest field when 11 fly over the 1700m from the mobile gate.
